Volunteers Needed for Board Positions
WYSA is looking for new board members for the positions listed below. We are a volunteer organization and depend on our members to support the league as coaches, board members and even staffing the snack shack on Saturdays. Registrar: Maintain the website, set up registration programs each season, answer parent questions regarding registration or direct them to the correct person, ensure all coaches have completed CORI checks; attend monthly board meetings (currently first Wednesdays of the month); and promoting fair play and the love of soccer. Interested individuals should be very comfortable with learning new software programs and spreadsheets. The website is maintained using League Athletics software - no software programming is needed!
Field Coordinator: Responsible for filing the field permits for each season; providing field layouts; ensuring fields are lined; liaison with the town and schools for all field concerns; identifying equipment needs; attend monthly board meetings (currently first Wednesdays of the month); and promoting fair play and the love of soccer.
Division Directors: Serve as the primary contact for families and coaches for assigned age division; create rosters and recruit coaches; address questions and concerns; prepare game schedules for in-town age groups; attend monthly board meetings (currently first Wednesdays of the month); and promoting fair play and the love of soccer.
